A Decade of Joy!
We are so grateful for all of our special guests that attended and supported the work of the Foundation this past Saturday evening. The event “A Decade of Joy” celebrated the vision of the Foundation to honor Carolyn L. Farrell in 2011. Dr. Charlie Farrell was recognized for his dedication and care for individuals and their families impacted by dementia/Alzheimer’s and other brain health issues. The co-founder, Rev. Katie Norris, shared the podium at the Gala to recognize the work of her father and their creation of the Foundation.

A special appreciation of featured guest speaker, author Anne Basting, PhD, who shared her thoughts from the first time she met Dr. Farrell and their interaction together. Anne’s recent book is titled “Creative Care, A Revolutionary Approach to Dementia and Elder Care.”

Virtual Silent Auction Ends
During September, we hosted a Virtual Silent Auction of art work and items and events. The online event ended on Thursday, September 30th. If you were
the highest bidder, you should have received an email message. Items can be paid for online or by check here at the Center. The pieces can be picked up
M – F, 9 – 5 when the Center is open.
A tremendous thank you to Richard Skerl, Linda Santanen, Luanne Becker and Dennis Yurich on each of their time and effort to make this a success!

Based on the latest COVID statistics for the State of Ohio, we are encouraging any non-vaccinated guests to wear masks as well as any others while inside the Center for Artful Living. We take precautions in maintaining the cleanliness of the building and equipment.

Spend lunchtime at the Center! Bring a “brown bag” lunch. We’ll provide a beverage and dessert. Then enjoy time on the farm. Resident Artist Richard Skerl will take us along the road and countryside for an autumn trip. Something fun for all up his “sleeve”! The arts experience will be at noon after lunchtime.

Celebrate the Arts
Friday, October 8th at 2pm
Join us Friday as we work on some team collaborative projects together. Our Resident Artist Lee Ann Eyre will guide all through a fun activity. The mixed media pieces will demonstrate our creative side!
Participants Steve & Debbie Giblin presented Dr. Charlie with a
“Doctor Of Joy” Certificate for all his caring and compassionate work he has done for people with brain health issues over the last 10 years.
