Join us in Costume for the afternoon! Special guests Gaile & Joe Schafer will bring their incredible 3-D carved jack-o-lanterns to the Center. Nadine Kodysz will be here to play some “spooktacular” Halloween music! We will paint pumpkins & have Halloween goodies & refreshments. (Consider bringing a snack to share.) 
Next Exhibit:
“Fall Into Zentangle”
A new exhibit is coming to the Center for Artful Living! This exhibit will feature work by local Zentangle artists. The artists are students of Judy Montgomery of Lakewood, who is a Certified Zentangle Teacher. Judy was trained in the Zentangle method in Rhode Island in 2012. Judy has been teaching Beginning Zentangle and More Zentangle at the Rocky River Senior Center for the past 7 years.
Fifteen Zentangle artists are participating in the show.
The opening Reception will be on Friday, October 18th from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Center for Artful Living, 26633 Detroit Road in Westlake. Music at our piano by Joe Schafer. The show will run through Dec. 3rd, and can be viewed Monday – Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
The Very Rev. Tracy Lind, an Episcopal priest and city planner, served as Dean of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Cleveland for 17 years and has been a long-time local and national advocate for social justice. Diagnosed in late 2016 with Frontotemporal Dementia, Rev. Lind has since lived with this form of early-onset dementia that impacts behavior, language and movement, but leaves memory relatively intact. Rev. Lind will offer the sermon “Spirituality of Dementia from the Inside-Out and Upside-Down” on Sunday morning, October 20th, at 10:15 am at the West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church, 20401 Hilliard Blvd., in Rocky River.
