The Carolyn L. Farrell Foundation was the recipient of an outreach offering from the Parish of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church presented by church member Naomi Opdycke to Dr. Charlie Farrell. We are grateful to the members of the church for their generosity. Special recognition goes to Naomi for being the liaison between the church and the Farrell Foundation. In addition, Janis & John Carlson hosted a table with info about the Farrell Foundation & also artwork by their daughter, Jennifer, who is a participant in the Farrell Foundation programs.
The Center for Artful Living offers a variety of arts enrichment programs at it’s comfortable new facility in Westlake. Current programming includes a range of arts sessions for individuals with dementia and their care partners. Activity: It’s almost the middle of January and was your New Year’s resolution to add more joy & pleasure to your & other’s lives this year? Then join us at the Center for Artful Living. We will make that resolution a reality. Today visit the Center for some refreshments in our Cafe. Then spend an hour of enjoyable music led by our dear friend Barb Wilberg. She has a good selection of music to sing & listen to today!

Activity: Come & bring a lunch and we’ll offer a beverage & dessert. Then celebrate National Hat Day! We bet that you did not even realize that it was a holiday! We’ll create a fun piece of art all about some of the winter hats we wear that keep us warm. Led by resident artist Richard Skerl. Hope to see you there!

artist/ photographer  Luanne Becker’s “Material Worlds” Art Exhibit!
A mix of photography, jewelry & mixed media assemblages. On display at the Center, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. The show will run through January 23rd. A percentage of the sales will benefit the Farrell Foundation programs.
