Please join us on Tuesday as expert Jen Nebraska is with us to lead the program. She will guide all in Chair Yoga. Stretch and move from the comfort of your seat while you engage in the experience. Stay for time to socialize and refreshments. Join in-person or virtually.

Two New Program Options!

Mindfulness Through the Arts: Monday, Nov. 13th 2pm – 3pm or by Appointment

We invite care partners to our expanded offering. We are providing an individual arts practice for persons affected by the loss of a loved one or someone needing a break from being that special care partner. Our first series of sessions will be hosted by Judy Montgomery and she will share a relaxing, drawing experience titled Zentangle. Other sessions will be designed to meet individual needs and might involve drawing, painting, journal writing or creating poetry. Time to relax, have a conversation with others and network, all for your own well-being. Questions and pre-registration: 440-414-0434.

Gentle Moments

Looking for participants to attend a new special program. We will soon be offering a sensory session to guide a small group or an individual couple through a pleasant, relaxing experience. Soothing words and soft music and to spend time together at the Center. Guided by Shirley Nelson. Day of the week and time schedule personally arranged. Sweet Arts Café

Wednesday, Nov. 8th  11am – Noon: Lunch  Noon to 1:00pm: Program

Be with us for lunchtime! Bring a brown bag lunch and we’ll provide a beverage and a special dessert. Time to enjoy lunch and socialize. Then at noon, Storyteller Kathy Strawser will be here to host a TimeSlips (TM) program. All will create a set of stories written together. An engaging and fun experience. Join in-person or virtually

at noon.

Celebrate the Arts

Friday, November 10th at 2pm

Be with us on Friday for our monthly Friday Support Group led by CLFF Board Member Sally Ollerton. During that time, we will also host an art enrichment activity in our multi-purpose space. All are invited to remain for refreshments. Virtual program for art activity only.

Friday, November 10th is the Federal Holiday. November 11th is the actual Veteran’s Day. We thank all Veteran’s for their service

to our Country.

Art Exhibit!

Artist David Noss

Stop in the Center and visit David Noss’ Art Exhibit! The work of Abstract Expressionistic pieces is on display until November 16th. Plus David has graciously donated two pieces of art to the benefit of the Foundation. Currently, we have a raffle and your opportunity to bid on the artwork pictured below.

1 Ticket = $5.00 5 Tickets = $20.00. Visit in-person or bid by going to our donate tab for a one-time donation. Specify which piece(s) you are bidding on and submit.

Cleveland Heights Library Lee Road Branch Memory Cafe

Thursday, November 9th, 1:00pm – 2:30pm

Come be with us, tell friends that would benefit and enjoy the Memory Cafe experience. A time to engage with others in a small group cafe atmosphere while our two Resident Artists Lee Ann Eyre and Richard Skerl guide all in an interactive art activity. Each participant will create a photo scrap book page to fill with some special family or personal images at home. Snacks and refreshments will be served.

Participant News – Halloween Part 2!

In Tuesday’s Heartful Living Cafe, the Center had Halloween Part 2! Here’s participants Francoise as Rosie the Riveter and Bill as Navy Captain Bill. This was a role that he actually did serve in the Navy!

Dr. Charlie and daughter Chris joined in the fun with a little hair and a little witchcraft!

Two ace musicians, Chris Kilbane and Carole Banyas entertained all with some special fall and Halloween music for the day!

Storyteller Corinne Jalkanen shared several books on Friday related to autumn, fall leaves and U.S. Veteran’s in our Celebrate the Arts session. An art project led by Richard Skerl followed the stories.
