Be with us on Tuesday as Kyle MacMillan from Bridge Rehab is with us to lead all in a strengthening and physical balance program. Kyle will guide everyone in some standing and seated exercises. Remain with us for refreshments following our program. Virtual guests are welcome also.

Join MTEC, Music Therapy Enrichment Center Staff as they host, engage and entertain all in a variety of music and song activities related to our September theme. Stay for some special Friday afternoon snacks and refreshments.

Participant News

Violinist Nadine Kodysz performed for the group in last Tuesday’s Heartful Living Café. Volunteer Reuben dances to the music!

Participant Megan joined in the musical fun from home with her guitar!

Participant Hilde (R) and daughter Judy (L) share the summer “drinks” they made in Wednesday’s Sweet Arts Café! Judy called hers “Raspberry Lemonade” and Hilde named hers “Pistachio Coffee Float”!

Participant Jim and daughter Mary made some summer drinks too! Jim’s was titled “Orange You Thirsty?” and Mary’s was “Pretty Paloma”.

Last Friday, volunteer Gretty Myers led a wonderful session incorporating the herbs and plants from the Foundation’s Sensory Garden. Gretty facilitated the art making activity where the participants created handmade cards with pressed herbs and leaves from the garden. Then, many of the the Foundation’s volunteers created wonderful recipes that included ingredients from the garden into the afternoon snacks! Thanks again to all who took time to prepare the great and healthy café snacks! The recipes are included below. Special thanks to Gretty and her vision and guidance. Enjoy a recipe or two…..
