HeARTful Living Café (TM) New Education & Support Program (TM)

Be with us on Tuesday afternoon for several opportunities. Sally Ollerton and Tracy Heberle will host the support group providing programs for the care partner and individuals diagnosed with dementia. In addition, there is an alternative arts program for individuals and professional care providers held in our multi-purpose space. All are invited for refreshments following the programs. Virtual guests may join for the arts enrichment program.

Program: 12:45 – 1:45pm

Join in on the fourth Wednesday of the month at this special time for lunch at noon. Then at 12:45, Sara Lawrence-Sucato from Dancing Wheels will be here to host Move 2 Connect. A program geared to move and stretch to a special song. Join virtually at 12:45pm.

Two New Opportunities!

Memory Cafes at two special locations and times in March:

Cleveland Heights & South Euclid. Thursday, March 14th at 2pm at the Cleveland Heights Coventry Village Library Branch for a special art experience hosted by Richard Skerl related to

St. Patrick’s Day. Pre-register at: 216-321-3400.

And Wednesday, March 20th at 2pm at the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Library in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic.

Join the arts enrichment experience from 2pm – 3:30pm.

Mindfulness Through the Arts (TM)

A special program for the care partner with two options! One choice is to be engaged in a guided art practice led by a professional artist. Option two is the opportunity to enjoy playing some games at the Center! A great time for yourself and to have some fun and engage the mind and enjoy some refreshments. In-person only.

Gentle Moments (TM)

Looking for participants to

attend a new special program.

We are offering a sensory session to guide a small group

or an individual couple through

a pleasant, relaxing experience. Soothing words and soft music and to spend time together

at the Center.

A Walk In The Park (TM)

Participant News

In last Tuesday’s Heartful Living Cafe, exercise professional Kyle MacMillan from Bridge Rehab & Performance led the group in a fun exercise session to help with balance and to stretch those muscles!

In last Wednesday’s Sweet Arts Cafe, caregiver Clare and

participant Janice share their Chinese lanterns that they made in honor of Chinese New Year. The session was led by

Resident Artist Richard Skerl.

New participants Lynn and Bob with their colorful dragons that they made in Friday’s Celebrate the Arts session! The session was led by Resident Artist Lee Ann Eyre, and the project was inspired by a story shared by our Storyteller Corinne Jalkanen.
