New Education & Support Program

Tuesday, June 25th

Be a part of our program Tuesday afternoon! We offer an option of two Support Programs. One is a small group session for individuals affected by dementia and hosted by Sally Ollerton. Also Tracy Heberle & Kathy Kassimatis co-host a session for care partners in our Music Studio. Others may participate in an Easy Tai Chi program led by Elizabeth Revy. All are invited to enjoy refreshments in our multi-purpose space following the three programs. Sorry, NO virtual programs this month.

Come enjoy lunchtime at the Center. Bring a brown bag lunch and we’ll offer a beverage and

a special dessert. Following lunchtime, all are invited to participate in Dancing Wheels Move 2 Connect program hosted by Sara Lawrence-Sucato. A comfortable and fun activity right from your chair. Move and stretch to a variety of music pieces. Sorry, NO virtual programs this month.

Walk & Move In The Park (TM)

Thursday, June 27th

11am to Noon

A great and healthy way to exercise! Join a group at the Westlake Community Park. Located between Hilliard Blvd.

& Center Ridge Road. Address:

Meet at the Gazebo near the lake and adjacent parking at 11am. Walk or move along the lake, in the park to your ability and comfort level. Meet back up at the Gazebo. Please bring snacks and a beverage. Time to socialize. Join us weekly at this time. Weather Permitting.

We will not meet if it’s ABOVE 85 degrees or if there is rain.

Celebrate the Arts (TM)

Be with us on Friday as Storyteller Corinne Jalkanen shares a special story with us and then Resident Artist Lee Ann Eyre will lead all in an art project related to the story. Stay after for refreshments and time to socialize. Sorry, NO virtual programs this month.

Mindfulness Through the Arts (TM)

Our Monday program continues. Join us!

A special program for the care partner with two options! One choice is to be engaged in a guided art practice led by a professional artist. Option two is the opportunity to enjoy playing some games at the Center! A great time for yourself and to have some fun and engage the mind and enjoy some refreshments. In-person only.

Eddie Lou Bush Art Exhibit

We are pleased to announce a retrospective exhibit of the work of Eddie Lou Bush at the Center! The posthumous exhibition of her watercolors will celebrate her work and creativity.

Eddie Lou and her late husband Lew were long-time participants in Farrell Foundation programs. View the art show M – F, 10 – 5.

The University Heights Library Memory Cafe: Join Ike Brooks and others for a special Baseball Memories Program on Thursday, July 11th at 2pm at the University Heights Library, 13866 Cedar Road, University Heights. The interactive program will highlight the history of the All-Star Game and it’s numerous times held in Cleveland. Enjoy several different activities and special baseball-themed snacks! On Tuesday, participants played along to the music with Drummer Billy Coakley!

Drummer Billy Coakley entertained all with some lively music selections in Tuesday’s Heartful Living Cafe!

Jessica Wallner from MTEC, Music Therapy Enrichment Center, led the group in some sing-a-longs, scarf waving and instrument playing in Friday’s Celebrate the Arts session!
