Mindfulness Through the Arts (TM)

A special program for the care partner with two options!

Option One is an Arts Practice guided by a professional artist for individuals affected by the loss of a loved one or for someone just needing a break from being that special care partner.

Option Two is the opportunity to enjoy playing some games with others at the Center!

A great time for yourself and to have some fun and engage the mind and enjoy some refreshments. In-person only.

Start off with lunch together! (Bring a brown bag lunch.) We will offer a beverage and dessert. At noon, Resident Artist Richard Skerl will guide all in a special art activity. To engage everyone’s creative side!

Thank you to Anne McEvoy and her cast at Clague Playhouse for their special performance of “Yes, And…”. The theater guests experienced Anne’s script and message related to dementia with an opportunity for questions following the performance. Our grateful appreciation to the Clague Playhouse Board & Staff for allowing us to stage the performance. The performance will be held again at the Dobama Theater in Cleveland Heights on a future date. Thank you also to Dr. Charlie Farrell, Luise Easton, Dorothy Faller and Scott Thompson.

Photography Exhibit!

Dennis Wert – Westlake Photographer

Member of the Cleveland Photographic Society

The Carolyn L. Farrell Foundation at the Center for Artful Living welcomes photographer Dennis Wert to its gallery.

The exhibit will continue through late March.

Dennis’s travel landscape photography captures the breathtaking beauty of natural environments near and far, each image telling a story of place, mood, and wonder. Through his lens, landscapes transform into vivid tales of adventure, inviting viewers to experience diverse terrains and hidden gems firsthand.

Gallery is open Monday – Friday, 9 – 5.

Dr. David Goldberg, from Baseball Memories, shares a book about Lou Gehrig during the program. Another Baseball Memories member, Joe Shaw, was also in attendance.

Here’s Ike Brooks, CLFF Board Member and Member of SABR, the Society for American Baseball Research, leading his Baseball Memories program in Tuesday’s Heartful Living Cafe. Today’s session was clips of well known baseball movies!

In Tuesday’s Heartful Living Cafe, the crowd enjoys the baseball movie clips presentation! And there was even a vintage baseball cartoon starring Bugs Bunny!
