Peggy was a long time Farrell Foundation Volunteer who we greatly miss. She brought her kind and gentle ways to each life she touched here at the Foundation from participants to other volunteers and staff. We greatly miss her smile and charm.

Join Peggy’s family for a Celebration of Life on Saturday November 23rd, 2024 at 11am at Westlake United Methodist Church,

The HeARTful

Living Café (TM)

Tuesday, November 12th

at 2pm

Participate in our Tuesday wellness program for all. Join

Tai Chi Expert Elizabeth Revy as she guides all in a special seated program. Stay for refreshments and time to socialize with others!

TWO

Sweet Arts Café (TM)

Wednesday, November 13th

Lunch: 11am

Program: Noon

Be with us on Wednesday for lunch. We’ll offer some Baseball fare – hot dogs, beverages, sides & dessert. Plus some peanuts and popcorn! All starting at

11 am. Then at noon, member of SABR, Society for American Baseball Research, will join us for a Baseball memories Program. Led by Ike Brooks, CLFF Board Member and SABR Author and Member, along with former Cleveland Indians Player Vern Fuller!! Here’s Vern at bat! What a great program!

THREE

Walk & Move in

the Park(TM)

Thursday, November 14th

at 11am

Join us at 11am in Westlake’s Community Park – Between Center Ridge Road & Hilliard, a short distance east of Crocker Road. Meet by the Gazebo. Weather permitting.

No rain and 40+ degrees.

Gentle Moments (TM)

An opportunity with Expert Shirley Nelson! Call to arrange a Thursday appointment.

Looking for participants to

attend a new special program.

We are offering a sensory session to guide a small group

or an individual couple through

a pleasant, relaxing experience. Soothing words and soft music and to spend time together

at the Center.

Guided by Shirley Nelson.

FIVE

New Cleveland Heights Library

Memory Cafe!

Enjoy the wonderful nature photography & sounds by musician Lisa Rainsong. The session is on Thursday, November 14th at 2pm, held at 2800 Noble Road in Cleveland Heights. Lisa will share her love of nature, particularly the images of birds & their sounds, especially the ones still in the area in November. Join us in a Cafe atmosphere with snacks & beverages.

SIX

Celebrate the Arts (TM)

Friday, November 15th

at 2pm

Everyone enjoys a Friday afternoon at the Center. This week Jessica Wallner from MTEC, Music Therapy Enrichment Center, will join us. She will host a variety of music activities. Refreshments follow, so stay and enjoy others!

SEVEN

Mindfulness Through the Arts (TM)

Monday, November 18th

at 2pm

Our Monday program continues. Join us!

A special program for the care partner with two options! One choice is to be engaged in a guided art practice led by a professional artist. Option two is the opportunity to enjoy playing some games at the Center! A great time for yourself and to have some fun and engage the mind and enjoy some refreshments. In-person only.

Dinner at Houlihan’s on Friday Afternoon?

How about dinner following the Friday program at nearby Houlihan’s at 4:00pm? Let us know if you’d be interested in participating with others for dinner at the restaurant. A great way to continue to connect with others that attend our programs and a pleasant way to start the weekend!

Nature Photography Exhibit!

Exhibiting are two Foundation volunteer’s photography. Enjoy the nature photography of DeeAnn Rose and Rev. Dave Schantz. DeeAnn was a former staff member of the Foundation and each year’s Gala photographer. Rev. Dave is a regular Wednesday volunteer. Come and see the show Monday through Friday from 10 – 5pm! Their work is for sale and proceeds benefit the Foundation.

Participant News

Participant Dan shares his art that he made in Friday’s Celebrate the Arts session! The class was led by Resident Artist Richard Skerl.

We welcomed this past Friday, guests from Romania. The delegation included a range of professional educators from their country. Each were here in Cleveland under the auspices of the Cleveland International Program, CIP. A special reception was held at the

Center for Artful Living.
