Option One: is an Arts Practice guided by Resident Artist Lee Ann Eyre, who will host a fun art activity for care partners during the afternoon. Some special time just for yourself! Why not stop in?

Option Two: is the opportunity to enjoy playing some games

with others at the Center! A great time for yourself and to have

some fun and engage the mind and enjoy some refreshments.

Be with us on Thursday afternoon as Nadine Kodysz will host the program. She will share some special Irish recipes for the afternoon demonstrating how to prepare, bake and enjoy Irish Brown Bread with some homemade butter. Her baking skills are A+!

“When the Mind’s Free”

Be with us Friday evening as we host a special screening of the film When the Mind’s Free. The story was written and directed by Cleveland State University Professor Toby Vera Bercovici. The film shares the challenges of one family’s journey with dementia. The live theater production was staged in 2024 and recently filmed for theater audiences. A $10.00 donation for attending. New Art Show!

Just a few more weeks of the current exhibit! Enjoy the wonderful exhibition and opportunity to purchase a special work for your home or as a gift. Proceeds benefit the Farrell Foundation and the U.S. Marines. Stop in M – F, 9 – 5.

Robert Kowaleski

Robert began his photographic journey fifteen years ago after joining the Cleveland Photographic Society. His work focuses on forgotten places, landscape, black & white imagery, and bird photography. Drawn to quiet moments shaped by time and light, his photographs reflect memory, resilience, and the traces time leaves behind.

Mike Lonsdale

As a seasonal worker in our National Parks and Forests, Mike Lonsdale captures the essence of these national treasures through his nature photography. He uses his photography to promote his love of nature and conservation efforts.

Hal Mitcheltree will be hosting an online Farrell Foundation Photo Gallery. The first of it’s kind, is to encourage all from the Foundation to participate. Images will be entered and posted online. Hal’s first theme will be: “Spring Flowers”. Simply start taking some images on your phones. Further details will be announced soon, as to how and where to send the images. Think Spring!

We would like to share two special resources for care partners:

Library Launch

The Foundation has an extensive lending library of books and materials for care partners and others to use as a resource for dementia and senior health care. Recently the collection was added to our website. Click this link: Farrell Foundation Library The Library is in our Conference Room at the Center and books may be taken out on loan. Check out this incredible resource! A special Thank You to volunteer David Noss and our webmaster Dennis Yurich from Yurich Creative for making this a reality!

Personal Care Items

We would like to share that we have a host of numerous items donated to the Foundation for personal care needs. This includes:

A Weighted Blanket; Personal Incontinence Pads; Lap Belts; Rollator. Please speak to our staff regarding the products. Thank you to David Hopka and Rick Schmotzer for your donations to this resource!

We plan a Foundation outing and Field Trip to Cleveland’s Botanical Garden on University Circle to enjoy it’s annual Orchid Exhibit. Guests can car pool from the Center at 1pm or meet at the Botanical Garden in the lobby at 2pm. Cost is $21.00 per person.
