Mindfulness Through the Arts (TM)

A special program for the care partner with two options!

Option One: is an Arts Practice guided by Art Therapist Linda Nintcheff, who will host a fun art activity for care partners during the afternoon. Some special time just for yourself! Why not stop in?

Option Two: is the opportunity to enjoy playing some games

with others at the Center! A great time for yourself and to have

some fun and engage the mind and enjoy some refreshments.

Experience Chair Yoga with expert Jen Nebraska. She will guide all with her monthly program using music and

Program at Noon

Bring a lunch or snack at noon…..then we will provide a beverage and special dessert. At noon, Sarah Beebe, Community Outreach Coordinator from Westlake Porter Public Library will be with us to share her great monthly program. On Wednesday, the topic will be: Cowboys & Westerns.

Thursday’s Treasures (TM)

Thursday, May 7th

*SPECIAL FIELD TRIP*

We will visit the Cleveland Museum of Art and experience some of it’s world class galleries. Your host and tour guide will be Jerry Devis.

Two Options: (A) Car Pool from the Farrell Foundation – Meet at 1pm

Or: (B) Meet in the Art Museum Lobby at 2pm.

The Museum is FREE. There is a fee for Parking in their Garage.

(If you prefer to tour the Special Exhibit – “Manet & Morisot” Cost: $15)

(C) Following the Tour, if you wish – enjoy the Museum Cafe & Bookstore. The Tour will be around 45 minutes and there are areas to be seated. Car Pool should return by 4:30pm to the Center.

1:00pm – Drive to CMA

2:00pm – 2:45pm – Tour

2:45pm – 3:30pm – Snack/Bookstore

About 3:30pm – 4:30pm – Drive Back Home

Join Sally Ollerton & David Hopka as they host their monthly Support Group for Family Care Partners in the Church’s Meeting Room. Others will participate in a hands-on art activity in the church’s large multi-purpose space, led by Jerry Devis.

All reconvene after for light refreshments following the program.

Kathe Lisy Art Show!

Come see the work of Artist Kathe Lisy at the Center for Artful Living! Enjoy her wonderful and colorful mixed-media works

of art. Each will set you in the mood for spring and/or summer!

Proceeds from the sale of the works benefit the Farrell Foundation. View the show: M – F, 9 – 5.

Kathe will host a Gallery Talk for the Community on Friday,

May 8th at 11am. Tea & Pastries served.

One of our professional photographers and providers

Hal Mitcheltree will be hosting an online Farrell Foundation Photo Gallery. The first of it’s kind, is to encourage all from the Foundation to participate. Images will be entered and posted online. Hal’s first theme will be: “Spring Flowers”. Simply start taking some images on your phones.
