Sunday, June 14th

Come to Crocker Park’s Block Party! 11am – 3pm

Dementia Friendly Westlake & the Farrell Foundation will have a booth at Main & Market Streets.

The Farrell Foundation is on the move!

The growth and popularity of the Farrell Foundation programs have been nothing short of inspiring. With so many fantastic programs and participants, we’re finding ourselves in need of a bit more elbow room. To keep up with this momentum, we’re actively working with real estate professionals to locate a new space that will perfectly suit our expanding needs.

The Foundation’s Board of Director’s goal is to continue to lease space and not own a building. We need the space and parking to adequately accommodate our growing program.

We’re excited to continue the legacy Dr. Charlie started more than a decade ago and begin a new chapter together. Thanks so much for your support and for being part of our vibrant community!

If you have questions, please contact us.

Talking Points:

Why are we moving?

To continue the growth of the Farrell Foundation, it’s imperative we find a space that can accommodate our needs. The popularity of the programs means more space and more parking (and parking that accommodates the needs of our participants.)

Because the Center For Artful Living is on the market makes this an ideal time to make this change.

What are we doing?

To date, we have found space that offers more square footage and parking!

What are the next steps?

The next step, is to ensure the cost aligns with the budget. As we are all aware, prices have increased across the board for pretty much everything. Real estate and utilities to name a few. The Foundation is hard at work to secure funding through different avenues – grants, personal donations, fundraising efforts.

Do we have a transition plan?

In the meantime, if the Center for Artful Living is sold prior to securing a new location. There is a transition plan to continue programs with partners in the community.

  •   Westlake Community Services Center
  •   Westlake Porter Public Library
  •   Westlake United Methodist Church
  • And other possible temporary locations

A transition plan will be shared when we have it finalized.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we transition to a facility that meets our growing needs! The future is looking bright!
